Agreed. Biden sold his soul to Jim Clyburn, and now the payment is due. By all of us. But it's not clear to me that Harris would do worse against Trump than this version of Biden. She's no great shakes, but every election in which Trump runs is a referendum on him.

I refuse to buy into the "one bad night" argument. What we saw was Joe Biden unscripted. It was revealing. If he just had a bad night, he would call a presser and answer some questions. Or do a town hall. There are a million ways to show that the debate was a "bad night." When Biden chooses none of those, we will know he cannot do the job any more.
