Another evil word gets cheapened by zealotry. The "is a form of" trope appropriates someone else's suffering for rhetorical flourish. Chattel slavery in the US is a contender for worst thing anyone ever did to anyone. And you want to apply the same word to being required to carry to term your own baby conceived through consensual and even marital sex? I'm not Black and I'm not especially empathetic, but I suspect that likening the miracle of life (as some see it) to being owned and bred doesn't sit very well with descendants of those who endured the latter.
FWIW, I am pro-choice. As columnist Ellen Goodman put it, I would ban early abortion with three exceptions: rape, incest, and me. But I like strong words to remain strong. And "slavery" - like "racism" and "rape" - is a strong word.
