What these pendejos don’t get is that many Americans are afraid that their kids will use “pendejo” instead of “idiot” to refer to them. I realize we’re in the Democratic primary field, so one can expect some pandering to Latinos. But I also agree with those who find this particular effort somewhat self-defeating. (I found the debate performances cringeworthy.) Either way, it’s just unbecoming for someone running for President of the United States of America to campaign in a language that is not the official language and cultural signature of the country he seeks to lead.
