Authoritarians, conservatives, fascists, and oligarchs all have a problem with reality

As someone who considers himself conservative, I searched the article for any mention of conservatives or conservatism. I found none, except in the summary, which just restates the gratuitous and unsupported claim.

I don't like authoritarians, fascists, and oligarchs, so I recoil when some smug jerk just lumps me in with them. You're not a smug jerk, are you? If not, maybe you could simply excise the word from the article and see if it still makes whatever point it is trying to make.
