Exactly how big does an enterprise have to be to lose the privilege of firing a pain in the ass employee? My Dad owned a liquor store that employed five people. If any one of them had told the others that Dad was a racist, especially in a way that would leak to customers, could he really be blamed for saying "If you don't like the way this place runs, go work elsewhere?"

There's a petition to get Gebru her job back. Why does she want to work for so horrible a place? I have no problem with people who quit and then rightly condemn. I have no problem with people who offer a company constructive criticism through its established channels and then leave (and condemn) if those criticisms are ignored. But no business is obliged to retain saboteurs.
