For older readers like me, be assured nothing in this story is intended to equate prison and cruising. My wife and I are heading to Alaska on a cruise and are looking forward to it.

Dr. Johnson wrote that "being in a ship is being in a jail, with the chance of being drowned." That's pretty much how my wife feels about cruises.
