[For some reason, this story popped up on my Medium home page today. So, I'm responding today.]
I keep thinking of that joke about how Michelangelo made his David: he started with a lump of marble and cut away everything that didn't look like David. You can say it, but you can't do it. Likewise, you can take away all of the things that make toxic masculinity toxic, but then, what's left that's masculine? What traits distinguish a non-toxic man from a good woman?
