Great as a war between the turds would be, I'd really like to see Liz Cheney run in the primaries to remind the Republican party how far it has strayed from conservatism and then to run in the general as an independent (assuming she loses the primaries) to cause the party to lose until it rejects Trumpism.

I'm sure that Democrats can find plenty not to like about Cheney - even she was late to the public rejection of Trump, and her conservative views are opposed to things Democrats want to do - but that's really beside the point. Someone needs to show the Republicans that their only road to competitive relevance is to bring the intellectual conservatives back into the fold.
