I have no problem calling corporate raiders or off-shorers or other tough business people “predators.” Predators are part of a healthy ecosystem. If you don’t like the vulture analogy, I am fine with lion, tiger, or hyena. The slowest get eaten, and the survivors are healthy. The question is whether any particular would-be meal is best advised to fight or flee. In the metaphoric world, both options (fighting by legislation or unionization, fleeing by retraining) are available.
