I originally commented on sports. Anything beyond that is irrelevant to my comment. That's why I said you changed the subject. You didn't change to a subject not covered in your article; you changed to a subject not raised in my comment.
Just because I don't comment on something doesn't mean I don't think it matters. I just chose not to comment on it here. I think the sports argument is trans people's weakest claim, one that detracts from their more justified concerns. Why title your article as you did if sports isn't the most important subject in it?
You might consider taking the chip off your shoulder. It appears to be obscuring your vision of what you’re reading. I have said nothing in the least bit hostile to trans people. I have defended the segregation of sports by sex and said that trans people should, under that segregation, compete with their at-birth sex because that rule is more conducive to the purpose of the sexual segregation. That’s it. There’s nothing there about anything else, no animus, no phobia, nothing. Just a thought about how sports work in our society.
