I think you're missing the point by dividing and conquering. Of course there will be some outrageous comments. But it sounds like we're getting the now usual collection of check-the-box characters. There will be a woman in power, a brilliant black, a trans or non-binary good-guy, a gay couple, an inter-racial (or maybe inter-species) romance, maybe someone in a wheelchair, and, of course, Hispanic and AAPI characters. Some will be twofers, or even threefers if they can make Wanda Sykes a boss. There is nothing wrong with any of these choices, except that they aren't choices; they are requirements. And white, cis-het male viewers, who, for better or worse, are the people who watch this stuff, know they're being preached at and, dare I say it, marginalized.
