I'll go with Door #3. It appears to a majority of men that the Democrats don't like them and want to demote them. Men who want to feel "valued" and "validated," will not vote for a party that appears to have no use for them as men.

The issue is difficult to extract from race, because white people have the same issue with the Democrats, making white men "intersectional," to use a favorite progressive neologism. Whiteness is under attack, and masculinity is under attack. It's fine to get all huffy and say those things should be under attack, but that's not the question being asked.

More important, and this is why I think Trump's charge that Harris is a Marxist rings true, America does not appear ready to vote whiteness and masculinity away. What choice do those who want to be rid of those things have but to create a totalitarian revolution? DEI programs on campus, with their self-criticism and ideological pledges, reek of totalitarianism. If persuasion won't produce equality, what will? And at what price? Is it really progress if different pigs become more equal?

I mention race because I believe it's a force multiplier. For me intermarriage is America's salvation. We will, eventually, marry our way out of racism. Then, I think the gender thing will sort itself out. Or not.
