It seems you didn’t get what I meant. The government does not have to tax or borrow to spend. It does not have to do A to do B, and therefore it is not revenue constrained.

I did not say that the government has to tax to spend. I said it must tax to be able practically (i.e., without causing unacceptable inflation) to spend above a certain amount. Do you think the "pracically" was an accident?

You are asking way too much of our electorate. Do you think they have the time or wherewithal to figure out MMT? They vote on results, not policies. It would be nice if you were right, but you aren't.
