Joe Biden had been a good and effective president, and he may be that for another four years. But his age is an electorai disadvantage, and all the anti-Trump arguments in the world won't change that. Anyone who cares about this country will vote for Biden over Trump, but that may not be enough people to win the election.
The biggest risk the Democrats run is that Trump may not be the Republican candidate. Nikki Haley is right: The first party to replace its 80-year-old candidate will win the election. I'm not a Haley fan, but she is not a fascist or a zealot. I think she beats Ruth Bader Biden handily.
Frankly, though, I'm not surprised that Biden is running. The Democrats have painted themselves into an identitarian corner. They have no place else to go.
