Let's go meta and ask what you mean by "unresolved"?

I say the teacher misspoke. What she meant to say s either "There will be an exam this week, but I'm not saying on what day, so you may be surprised." or "There may be an exam this week, and you will be surprised when it happens, if it happens." What she actually said creates a paradox in the way the barber's paradox creates one - by describing a world that does not exist. That she can deliver on the promise is a turn of the screw, so to speak, but the statement falsely implies that the students will surprised, when in fact they only may be surprised.

In what sense does that not 'resolve" the paradox?
