I should have been more clear. I’m not suggesting there’s a simple adjustment available. I meant only that the journalist should have noted the differing levels of randomness in the test stats, with tests per million being a Fermi math proxy for randomness. I have not passed enough actuarial exams to guess what the Bayesian actuaries could do with that data.
