If you want to give your article away, don't put it behind the paywall where paying readers pay you and freeloaders don't. Pretty soon, no one will need a membership, because short-sighted authors are giving their "paid" articles away. Makes the paying customers feel like idiots.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I do not read authors who put friend links in their articles.
