Not exactly. I expect my kids, or their kids, to make sure someone does change my diapers in case I am not competent to make those arrangements myself. As the old saying goes, "Be good to your children; they will choose your nursing home."
Why do you focus on the most selfish of my enumerated motives? I had children because I thought my being a parent would be good for me, good tor my kids, and good for society. Is it fair to say that "good for me" is the only motive you understand?
