One great thing about Medium comments is that they can be edited. If you fix yours, I'll fix mine.

First, I'm glad it's only "a little bit" ridiculous. I would hate to say something full-on ridiculous.

Second, kids were learning about slavery before the 1619 Project. We are not talking about slavery. We are talking about how rotten White people are. That's how that lesson, er, comes across to White kids.
