Our young voters, who are historically apathetic, are energized by guns and climate. Women - mothers, especially - are starting to take the school shooting seriously. The vote for Supreme Court judge in Wisconsin may be a watershed. It was largely about abortion, but the turn-out of young voters was impressive.

If the past is a foreign country where our ancestors lived, the future is the undiscovered country where our children will live. It's great news that they have finally decided to explore it.
