People cannot understand why the hard infrastructure bill has not passed. They think it's because the progressives are holding it up, which will remain true until Pelosi brings it up for a vote and puts the Republicans on the record as opposing it. Then, she can say she delivered a very strong majority of her party, while the Republicans, for all their talk about infrastructure, voted against it as a party. Until she is prepared to let her Left take its share of the blame that belongs mostly to Republicans, she and the President will be seen as negotiating with wackos who have taken our roads and bridges and clean drinking water hostage. What's not to disapprove of?
