Poor compensation and working conditions are offered to those who want to contribute to positive social change.

Beware the passive voice. Offered BY WHOM? Every ill of capitalism can be fixed by voters who refuse to benefit from it. TAXPAYERS pay teachers. You want better pay for teachers? Don't blame capitalism. BLAME VOTERS.

Capitalists do not lobby for teachers to be underpaid. But they do lobby for lower taxes. More taxes would enable higher pay for public servants. But voters need to say "WE WANT BETTER PAID TEACHERS!!!" Why won't they do that? Because they would have to pay higher taxes, directly or, through price increases, indirectly.

The importation of cheap labor-intensive goods is particularly galling. Why don't we have higher tariffs against such products? Because WE don't want to pay Americans to make them. The capitalists go where their customers tell them to go or permit them to go (same thing, in economic terms). The problem is not capitalism; it is democracy. And as soon as someone comes up with a better system, we should all support it. Until then, however, the capitalists will have to be the scapegoats.
