I don't believe that's the test. For me, if the Nazis thought Aryans are a race that does not include Jews, the Holocaust was "about race." For Whoopi, if Jews can sit in the front of the bus that Rosa Parks was required to sit in the back of, the Holocaust was not "about race." The term is flexible, and her meaning needed to be clarified. That would be a far more useful exercise than calling her names and sending her to her room.
