So we use energy from a battery to electrolyse water to get hydrogen, and then we burn the hydrogen (recombine it with its oxygen) to get water and energy. In effect, then, what’s left of the energy from the battery drives the car. Is this is a more efficient EV than one that just uses an electric motor? Why am I thinking it is not?
