That's a lot of words for someone who is not attempting to persuade ME of anything. I am a reader of your article. Are you saying that you are not trying to convince readers of something, not trying to persuade them to do something? Why write, then?
As a reader of your article, I thought you might like to know why at least one of us found it unpersuasive. My comment has received a few claps, so I assume I'm not alone. Learn from criticism or don't. Not my problem.
In my lexicon, to describe one's own views as "well-informed" is the opposite of "humble." The word is entirely gratuitous. What does it add other than the recognition that you may be wrong, which, in this case, is refuted by the words around it? What is humble about your writing? What is humble about you? Where is your doubt? Where is your openness to criticism?
I stopped reading your response after three paragraphs. Seeing as how you are not attempting to persuade ME of anything, I didn't see how I could learn anything from whatever followed.
For reasons that elude me, you have chosen to "follow" me. Some of my articles are about racism. Some may be more humble than others, some angrier than others. But if you look at my "bio," you will see in one sentence why your protestations of humility don't get much traction with me. Luckily for you, though, you don't care whether your arguments get any traction with ME, right?
