The border is a mess, and DeSantis is a turd. There is no reason to deny either of these truths. I have no problem with migrants being dispersed throughout the country, especially to areas with labor shortages. The problem is that DeSantis does not want to solve the migrant problem; he wants to make it worse so he can run on it.

Abbott is no better. If either of these jerks cared about the migrant problem, they would have worked with the northern governors, if only to tell them that people - real human beings - were going to be dropped on their doorstep, so be prepared. But if the relocations went well, it would make the border problem seem less awful, and neither DeSantis nor Abbott wants that terrible outcome.
