The important question is why people believe these lies. I think it's because they want to. So, people are not being misinformed; they are being artificially comforted in their pre-existing prejudices.

My own view is that the election was about race and sex. MAGA says it's ok to be white or male. The Democrats say it isn't. Everything else is excuse-making.
