It's fine that some movies make us think. But it’s nice also to have good movies that let us NOT think. Maher is not complaining that the serious movies exist; he is complaining that they are the only ones now deemed "good." Woke is a joke because it is totalitarian, and totalitarianism is either a joke or a catastrophe.
