Who is president matters, and it would be nice to be able to choose between a centrist and a leftist to run against a Republican. But the GOP is not running a Republican; it is running a fascist. That makes electability way more important than ideology. M4A is a bridge too far for right now. A wealth tax on the living, when it’s hard enough to get one on the dead, is just a red flag in front of conservatives who would vote for a Democrat, but not a Bolshevik, to get rid of Trump.
