These reforms are political theatre, which is a good thing, because they are a very bad idea.

If you liked how the 2016 election was about whom the candidates would nominate for the Supreme Court, you’ll love term limits that assure every President gets at least two appointments, one of them subject to obstruction by the other party if the senate is held by that party. The object of the game should be to de-politicize the Court. Term limits do just the opposite. It’s a dumb, result-oriented, libtard idea.

Code of Conduct? You nailed this one, Caren. Enforced by whom without political implications? Merrick Garland? Right.

This “reform” exercise is a way to remind voters that Trump is an asshole. As such, it merits applause. It does not, however, merit serious consideration.
