This is easy. Under Trump, it is OK to be cis-het, white, Christian, and, if you are male, male. Under Biden, it is not. At least, that's how it seems to enough cis-het, white Christians to elect the guy who says so.

The choice is simple. You go into the voting booth, and see two party's candidates. One party says it's OK to be you. The other party says you're a racist, homophobic, transphobic, misogynist piece of shit who only has what you have thanks to unfair privileges. What lever do you pull?

Intellectuals make the great mistake of thinking policy matters. Policy matters only in periods of great economic or military crisis. Otherwise, self-esteem explains it all. The attack on white privilege cannot proceed without an attack on whiteness itself. History is literally adding insult to injury. Understanding the resistance isn't that difficult.
