Trump may or may not be Hitler. (Hitler wasn't "Hitler" in 1930.) But his followers are just like the Germans who supported Hitler. Some were Nazis, and the rest were OK with what the Nazis were doing. If Trump were Hitler, his supporters would still support him. So telling them he's Hitler seems fair game.
I do not want to diminish the evil of the men on your list, and I often criticize word inflation that tries to associate lesser evils with events like the Holocaust. But Trump is a uniquely malevolent force in American politics, a poster-child for the Seven Deadly Sins and yet beloved by the religious right. If that isn't a sign of moral collapse, what is? So I'm OK with the hyperbole.
