Wokeness disturbs two kids of people: those who think it's anti-libertarian and those who think it's anti-them. The first group can become woke-critical; the second has no interest in such things.
Wokeness attacks the advantages enjoyed by whites, men, Christians, heterosexuals, and cis-gender people. Wokesters, being into intersectionality, can understand how an awful lot of voters fall into several of those categories. Wokeness is not good for these people, at least as they see it. So they make up reasons why it's OK to be against wokeness. They are antidisestablishmentarians. There is nothing we can do about that.
The rest of us who find wokeness intellectually stifling can with good reason brew up a tempest in our teapot, but it is not the main event. What's going on is a fight over privilege. Ideas follow materiality, not vice versa.
