So, why don’t Black women receive as much attention as the people of Iowa?

You should probably wait until after South Carolina to ask that question. It’s a good thing that Iowa is midwestern and white. How else will we know where the midwestern white vote is going to go? I mean, we could dissect a more diverse electorate with exit polls, but why bother? Just hold an election where most of the voters are midwestern whites and see what happens. A majority of SC Democrats are black. That election will tell us something about the black vote. If primaries are understood as information-gathering exercises, this aggregation of non-diverse experiments is really more useful than a bunch of essentially redundant exercises. Let Super Tuesday make the choice, informed by what goes before.
