You've worn me out.

The difference between game theory and instrumentalism is that game theory explains why things succeed, and instrumentalism explains why choices are made. In the case of good choices, the ideas may seem to overlap. I see a difference, though.

Morality is what we call our inclination to sacrifice our immediate good for some unspecified "greater" good, whether or not we know that that's what we're doing. If we need a God to command us to be good on threat of Hellfire, so be it. I have no beef with that, per se, although deistic morality tends not to recognize its own obsolescence. God was OK with slavery way longer than decent people were.

Otherwise, I'm going to leave the arguments where they lie.
